CRAFT GROUP IN ANNA BAY NSW

 Volunteers needed who love Crafting!

Gateway Presbyterian Church on Gan Gan Road Anna Bay NSW have restarted their Craft Group after the Christmas Break.

Everyone is welcome, we love new people, the more the merrier. We meet every Wednesday morning commencing on February 4th at 9am until midday (except during school holidays) and make items for charities, both locally and overseas.

If you want to learn a new skill, including quilting knitting or crochet, just come along and we will happily teach you. For the first visit materials are provided, and we get donated wool and fabric to help us out.

Last year we made:
  • Quilts for newborns in Papua New Guinea (Patea PNG Quilt Collective)
  • Quilts for Chinese Orphans with HIV and hand made Nativity puppets, embroidered towels and a Christmas quilted table runner (Elim Kids)
  • Assorted knitted, crocheted and quilted items for the Mental Health charity stall at the Mater Hospital, Newcastle
  • Toiletry bags with toiletries, beanies and scarves for the homeless in Newcastle
This year we are hoping to expand and also make enough for a stall at our local market at the church to raise funds for other charities, such as Open Doors and CBI Australia
